My house is the only house on a rural dirt road, so we don't have many cars. Also, I built the house facing away from the street so I couldn't see the street when I looked out my windows. With an approach length of over 300 feet, these factors make it almost impossible to know when anyone (friend, foe, or delivery) will arrive. After my usual research and reading reviews, I settled on this device. It's certainly sensitive enough to detect vegetation blowing in a light breeze, but it's configurable and you can fix that with the Weed Wacker. I was a little hesitant after reading other people's reviews of alert tones. To me, most options range from obnoxious to bizarre, but there are a few noises I suspect most people could live with. All in all, it does what it's designed to do and does it well.
