I was concerned the set would be a different color based on some of the review photos but was pleased to find my set in a lovely gray rose gold - ish ( maybe pink champagne) color! It looks like something out of a Barbie movie. It's really great to have something cute that works! Now for the functionality. It works great and I was surprised to see how quickly it heats up. You can see the numbers go from room temperature to over 400 in a minute and the glove certainly helps a beginner like me who is afraid of getting burned. I've used a pearl-like wand to set curls in my hair and I'm excited to see the curls other wands use. It was annoying at first because I've never curled my hair with a curling iron before, but it's fun and cute.
