Wow! I use this with an Olympus WS-822 and was finally able to do a test with the microphone and the device itself. I'm shocked! This thing is amazing how much better it just isolates the sound of my voice so it's a lot clearer. You don't hear any rustling when I hold the device in my hands or when I move it. I was also impressed with this mic for how well it picks up sound regardless of the distance. It's almost bizarre. In my testing, I heard NO difference in volume or clarity between the mic just inches from my mouth and about 24 inches away. My son was recording a book for school and when I sat next to him and corrected a word he had misread, it came out loud and clear as if I had spoken it into my own microphone. I do not know how to do it!? So don't worry about bringing it very close to your mouth when you strap it to your shirt, because from that distance it looks like every part of your torso sounds the same. There is also very little difference in sound (at such a short distance) whether your mouth is pointed directly at the microphone or in the opposite direction, e.g. B. if your head is turned to the side when speaking. When I put it on the table and walked away, I couldn't hear any difference between 5 and 8 feet (those are the only distances I've tested), and while you could tell that at that point there was some distance, there was it's still impressively clear and loud, so I think it would work great over a long distance. Meet at the big table. I'm very impressed with it, especially for just over ten bucks! Excellent purchase!
