Decent phone for $$ but had serious problems

I jumped between 2 and 3 stars but got 3 stars because although I've had similar complaints about this phone at Gigabyte and others Haven't seen forums I don't think my problems are normal. The mobo was easy to install and setup, very well packaged and all that, but I had trouble getting dual channel DDR to work. By problems I mean the BIOS doesn't even boot and the DRAM LED stays on (this happens after it toggles between CPU and DRAM, sometimes reboots but always ends up on DRAM with no image on my monitor). The z390 boots with 16GB DDR memory, no problem. Yes folks at PCMASTERRACE, I made sure my two DDR sticks are working. Yes, they are the same brand, type and size. Yes, I put them in the right slots. I updated the BIOS to the latest version available on Gigabyte's website, 10e. I restarted my processor, disabled fastboot and checked that all my screws are tight enough to flex the mobo. Nothing I can do will allow me to dual channel my two 16GB DDRs. Again, the BIOS doesn't even boot for B1/A1 or B2/A2. I am very sorry to be disassembling my computer and returning this mobo. I'm thinking of ordering an MSI z390 or z490 but need to make sure it's compatible with everything else on my PC.
