Bought this cable to make a 1/4 wave vertical antenna for portable operation on 20 and 17 meters. I cut the wires for the heatsink and radials, reassembled everything and was pleasantly surprised by the 1.4:1 SWR before each adjustment. After some trimming and radial placement, I got a 1.2:1 match, and my transceiver's internal tuner matched it perfectly. My transceiver (Xiegu G90) is only 20 watts and this cable easily accommodates it. Mysterious to say the least. I can put a pole on a light tripod and in a few minutes I have a vertical antenna. For radio amateurs who live in HOAs, I'm sure you could build something very discreet that wouldn't get you into trouble using this wire.73 De K5SFC
