I'm very impressed by the sturdiness of this tripod. Phones are heavy when they are standing on their own but this tripod has easy tightening and untightening methods that keep it still and in place. I'll be bringing it along w me to the beach so we will see how well it stands in sand but as far as carpet, concrete, and linoleum goes it is extremely sturdy. Holds your phone with grip so you dont have to worry about it falling.
