These auto heated beds are great because they work and my cats love them. Also, they don't make any noise when cats walk on them. They are soft, smooth and not bulky. I first bought a large bag and a small outdoor cat house bag that we have for stray cats that used to come into my garden. On cold nights and days, kittens snuggle up comfortably in these beds and stay in their homes. One was left over so I put it on my wooden swing and my inner kitty loves it and sits and naps on it all the time. My older cat didn't get a chance to sit on them so I ordered a third set so she could have one. I know they work because my kitty finally got out of his new bed and I could feel it - it was nice and warm. So I sat on it and it got really warm and I think this rug would be great to sit on in the winter if you don't have heated seats or if you're going to sit outside for a while.
