I have the V11 Animal and find it very convenient to use (I have 2 dogs that shed a lot). I had the OEM filter for almost 2 years before it began to show signs of wear and started to wash it much more often than normal. I wanted to order the OEM filter from Dyson, but after 6 months go by with their site showing it as out of stock, I decided to try these filters. I've had these filters for a couple months. They do work OK, but the filter material wears down much faster than I was expecting. I would only recommend these if you can't get the OEM part.A couple weeks ago Dyson's website showed the filter in stock. I called to verify and was told is was, so I went ahead and ordered. A week goes by and I called them again to check on the order. They said the part was in stock and I should receive a shipment confirmation in a day or two. I waited another week, called again, and was told it hadn't shipped because it was out of stock. WTF! I asked them to cancel my order. It's been about 5 days and I still haven't gotten an email confirmation of the cancellation request. Once this vacuum stops working, I will be looking for another brand. Ridiculous that they can't keep a common part in stock or display correct stock info on their website.
