Having tried a few other similar products without success this one was a pleasant surprise. It just worked right out of the box with the default settings. I just had to make sure the computer's HDMI output was set to 1024 and working with the default switch setting. So far it only works with one extended monitor, but I have no doubt that the second monitor works just as well. The HDMI pass - they call it loop - is a huge plus for a 'local' monitor. I'm using 100ft STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) CAT6 runs with shielded CAT6 connectors and 3ft shielded CAT6 jumpers on each end and all looks fine. My only minor complaint is that the DIP switch setting table isn't well explained in the manual, but I figured it out and since I didn't need to change anything anyway, I'm fine. I tried a few different switch settings but everything looked the same.
