This item should be used as a meeting venue. I had two short throw projectors and wanted a TV monitor next to me, and that's exactly what I wanted. Take a look at one such product with a grain of salt. HDMI handshakes done through such a device, over ethernet, etc. are notoriously finicky. There are so many places between TVs, HDMI cables, Ethernet cables, remote units, and junction boxes that problems can arise. Having tried a few other similar products without success this one was a pleasant surprise. It just worked right out of the box with the default settings. I just had to make sure the computer's HDMI output was set to 1024 and working with the default switch setting.
