Review on πŸ”Œ gofanco Prophecy 1x4 HDMI Extender Splitter 1080p Over Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 Ethernet Cable with HDMI Loopout - Up to 50m/165ft - EDID Management, Bi-Directional IR Remote Control (4-Port) by Anthony Gupta

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well with Category 6 cables and short Category 5e cables

This is great for sending digital signage from a chrome box to two digital displays in portrait mode. Cat6 was used in the wall to the central data closet. I originally had a Blackbird 4k 1x4 from Monoprice (although I only needed 2 outputs). It was very buggy. One screen works 50% of the time and the other barely works (blinking, glitchy, black screen). I replaced it with this GoFanco unit and a 1ft shielded Cat6a cable from the outlet to this one and it worked great. Inside the data closet, a 7ft shielded Cat6a cable ran from the patch panel to the GoFanco transmitter. Both screens have a beautiful 1080p digital display in a retail setting, while the image is instantly generated and connected in an air-conditioned data room. to the PDU where we can turn it on remotely if needed. It exceeded my expectations and I tested it at home with an Xbox One and a Nintendo Switch before going into production and I was able to capture video from my family room downstairs via my Cat5e cable which I did in my house I misplaced another socket behind the TV in the living room. The wireless controllers worked through the floor and I could easily see game consoles in another room. In the final retail configuration, we don't need IR eyes, so they remain disabled and disappear. Block Monoprice as we had many reliability issues with Monoprice. The Monoprice has wired power to the receivers, which was nice, so be aware that with GoFanco the receivers require an outlet to work. Keep in mind this isn't 4k, it's a digital sign you'll be seeing from afar anyway, and 1080p tested and correct.
