Inside it's like a "mask", black foil with many round holes. Probably too bright if it wasn't there. It works well but I would rather not have this mask as it limits the amount of light produced. lined up etc. and just for me lighter would be better, more even. But it works well, easy to use, plug in, press button. Nice and thin, very light, good size. I would buy it again if I couldn't find a better one. But this one works for me, it could be just a little bit better. Blown out after a few uses. The spot where the microcontroller is located (power connector) got very hot and stopped working. I have another one, bigger, works much better.
