Review on Optimally-sized Grifiti Fat Wrist Pad 14 – Keyboard Wrist Rest for Tenkeyless Mechanical and Gaming Keyboards (2.75 x 14 inches, Black Nylon) by Josh Chenier

The perfect companion for any keyboard.

Rarely do I buy a product out of curiosity and I genuinely ask myself how I was able to convince myself that I am satisfied with the way I used to work. This is the first time I've had a keyboard palm rest that didn't come with the keyboard (Corsair K70) and it's been running smoothly ever since. The main reason I bought this wrist rest was because I bought a Keychron K2 mechanical keyboard and was advised by many in the community that the keyboard was too big for natural use and should have a wrist rest in order to accompany her. After two years of rigorous use of the Razer Blackwidow, I wasn't sure how important a palm rest really was for any keyboard. But when I finally received the K2, I was convinced that I had made no mistake in listening to the suggestions. But more than that, my expectations were exceeded. This wrist rest is very soft for its size and offers incredible grip on the wooden table it rests on. Not once did I feel the palm rest move into an awkward position due to the many activities I performed with it, be it intense gaming, writing documents, or even this review. The cloth coat that separates the foam from my wrists is very similar to the feel of a fresh mouse pad, and I find it very comfortable, for one. The one issue I find the most about this keyboard palm rest is the visible branding. I was hoping for a truly neutralized workspace with minimal space for branding, but this wrist rest's logo is very prominent, even tying its own website to the fabric. I hate this design choice for diluting the cleanliness of my workspace, but that's the only thing that bothers me. I want it printed either on the side where I can hide it or on the bottom where I never have to see it during use.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Too long to wait
