I've spent money on other short antennas that just don't work. I just bought a Kenwood 2 din stereo and wanted my HD radio to get good reception so I removed my 32 inch steel antenna and replaced it with this. Wow! What a big difference! I couldn't believe the reception I got. It was money spent, I used Loctite on the threads to keep it from being stolen. But if it does, I'll replace it with this one. It works better than the original antenna, hands down. When scanning, I had up to 7 stations after a bike ride. I caught a lot more stations with this antenna.
