No frills - just like that. Solidly made, quite heavy, nice rubber feet, easy on/off and volume, built-in batteries. Decent sound - not HiFi quality but much better than built in and good enough to enjoy Netflix movies from my iPad at the coffee table. I've played with a number of Bluetooth headsets and some of them have annoying audio delays that make movie watching unacceptable. This speaker set has a minimum latency of no more than 50ms and you need a tool to determine if it is out of sync with the movie. Test: Stream Netflix to iPhone or iPad via built-in Bluetooth and stream Netflix to PC via wireless plug-in audio connection. Bluetooth range is said to be 50 feet - which I didn't believe until I tested it. . It picks up my iPhone (stereo A2DP) at over 50 feet - more like 70 - in an electrically noisy office environment with lots of PCs and phones. The dongle-based wireless connection works out of the box - plugged into my Windows 7 PC (64-bit OS) and the driver loads and connects within 3 seconds. It would be 5 stars if: 1. Bluetooth remembers the device - if you use multiple devices, after using the second you need to re-pair the first one. Since devices remember the speaker anyway, you need to make the device forget the speaker before you can pair it again. 2. It is paired with two Bluetooth sources at the same time - for example, iPhone and computer.3. It will turn off automatically after 30 minutes without sound. I constantly put it away with the power on and take it out with the battery dead.
