Bought an old 88 a few years ago and run by an elderly man in very good condition except the coolant system was never flushed or not flushed enough. In any case, I had no heating for 2 winters and tried several flushing sets. The radiator was cleaned well but the radiator was not very clean. Before I found this thing, I got to the point of flushing the core once or so a month just to keep the air warm, but it soon went away. I took a bottle of Irontite, mixed it with 1 gallon of boiling hot water (to simulate engine operation) and poured it into the core disconnected from the system. Leave for about 20 minutes and connect a garden hose to it. I did this 4 months ago and I still have a high fever. Spring will come, I will do the whole system with this material. I was about to replace the core (it's on the shelf now) so I'm glad I found this. It's worth it. Save time and money when you have a clogged heater core, all you need is a hose and so on.
