I bought these for my 6 year old. He needed thinner socks for warmer weather. He has large feet, 8 inches long, or about 1.5/2 US youth shoe sizes. These fit him perfectly! He has room for his feet to grow a bit, but the socks are not at all loose or baggy. He is very active and his feet sweat easily so I needed something made of cotton to keep his feet from smelling. They are light but of good quality and can take a lot of wear and tear at the moment. They also wash well and clean. He wears them around the house, in rubber boots and regular shoes. They do not slip on his legs in boots and do not fall on his feet. They rise about 3 inches above his ankles. So not super tall, which is good for us because he hates high socks. I am very happy with them and will buy more when we need them. Also, he's stopped wearing all of his other socks since I got these, which means he prefers them, which is saying something because A). He's not usually the kind of kid who cares much about such things, and, B). His other socks are really high quality, expensive, made out of wool (a damn strong brand), so yeah, it's a good thing they're no longer in use.
