I bought two of these HDMI adapters from two different companies and they both work well and each has its own advantage over the other although the advantage is exactly the same. The other is more practical because, unlike this one, it does not require an external power supply. However, an external power source means your phone will stay charged for longer periods of time when using it as a camera or video player. So you'll have to decide if you prefer convenience or longer life when plugging it into an external power adapter, but it works great with my iPhone SE.
