I bought this because I wanted to use a backpack strap, so I also bought the Think Tank Camera Strap V2.0 reversible non-slip strap. Unlike some support straps, the locking clip design fits any backpack that has fairly standard webbing sewn to the front of the backpack strap. So you don't have to use a think tank package to use this strap. And of course you can move it between packages. Quality heavy equipment is great. The weight of a large DSLR is carried by the straps of your pack, not your neck or back. You can easily carry my D300 and 70-200 f2.8 zoom all day without the slightest bit of fatigue. Great product at a great price. Easily solves a common problem of carrying a large DSLR off-road, keeping it secure and ready to go.
