Excellent straps for binoculars and camera

Ideal for a hiking pack and helps distribute weight evenly. My neck and head no longer hurt from the weight of the camera. I managed to hold my Nikon D7200 with a telephoto lens on both straps while crouching on one with a pair of waterproof 2lb binoculars on the side. It works well, and if you don't want to use suspension, this is the way to go.

Works perfectly! Best bags and suitcases

They correspond exactly to the description. They take the weight off your neck and transfer it to the backpack's straps. I wear the camera strap around my neck and then shorten the Think Tank straps so there is no weight on the strap. If I need to take the camera off, the dog leash clips are easy to use and the camera still hangs securely around my neck with the strap. Shortening and lengthening the Think Tank straps is also quick and easy. The only downside is that they require attachment…

Worked great with a full frame camera while hiking.

This attaches very easily to my existing backpack. I have used this during over 35 miles of hiking in Glacier National Park and had no problems. Once you get used to detaching the strap, it becomes very functional. I have used the 5his on my Nikon D810 which is a full frame DSLR and even when cropped it can easily be adjusted to take horizontal photos. Best of all, I was hands free while hiking and the weight of the camera was distributed across the backpack straps.

  • Works great for me

  • Has issues

Does the Job - Bags & Cases

Provided your backpack's shoulder straps are in the right place to attach them (see photos carefully), these straps offer an economical solution for carrying your camera bag on the front so that it is easily accessible. The clips on the end are metal and medium sized (look at the photos again) which means they attach to the camera body or a ring on the camera strap, not directly to the camera body. This system does not prevent the camera from swinging from side to side or bouncing around on…

Helps relieve tension in the neck! Fits perfectly with my backpack

This product was purchased to relieve back and neck pain when carrying a camera around the neck while hiking. I almost gave up my Nikon DSLR for a cell phone camera due to the pain of walking for miles with the heavy weight of the camera around my neck. I sacrificed close-up shots, especially of birds, to get into the forest. With this product I was able to dust off my Nikon and make it ready for use again. The straps connected to my backpack very easily. and took most of the load off my neck…

Think Tank Camera Support Strap V2.0

I bought this because I wanted to use a backpack strap, so I also bought the reversible non-slip Think Tank Camera Strap V2.0. Unlike some support straps, the locking clip design fits any backpack that has fairly standard webbing sewn to the front of the backpack strap. So you don't have to use a think tank package to use this strap. And of course you can move it between packages. Quality heavy equipment is great. The weight of a large DSLR is carried by the straps of your pack, not your neck…

Very impressive! A photographer's dream

Just stumbled across this product and damn I've been able to use it for the last few years! Hiking and photography go hand in hand. And if you're an avid photographer, you really need a setup that's both comfortable, meaning quick access, and something that doesn't strain your neck or arms. This product does both. This allows you to work hands-free while hiking and have quick access when you want to snap a picture. Pros: - Once set up, this provides quick access to your camera. Your camera is…

Great solution for photographers on foot

I am a professional amateur photographer who shoots landscapes and portraits. I use it on backpacking trips out of town. Works great and keeps the camera accessible and balanced when carrying stuff all day. After a few trips with a DSLR in my camera bag, I realized that I was missing out on a lot of shots because it was too difficult to get the camera out, snap a picture, and then put it all away. I needed a secure way to carry the camera so it would be ready to shoot in seconds. Just having…

Note the limitations

I chose to use it with the Think Tank Pixel Racing Harness V2.0. However, it didn't take long for me to realize that it really wasn't made for something as heavy as my Canon 5D3+ 70-200 f/2.8. I soon found that the weight in front of my chest was no different than using a neck strap - very uncomfortable. I should note that I am 57 years old. For those who are young and very healthy, the conclusion may be different. Regardless of your age, any weight in front of your chest will pull your neck…
