Review on πŸ“Έ Speedlite 430EX III-RT Flash by Canon by Rob Rogers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These flashes are really the best helpers for beginners and hobbyists and they also come with advanced features.

I received two of these devices due to a mix-up in the order, one was returned. These Speedlites truly are beginners and hobbyists' best friend, and come with advanced features that will keep hobbyists like me busy for a while. My DSLR doesn't have a built in radio transmitter (I'm not sure a Canon DSLR has one) and the standalone RTs sold by Canon are overpriced. If you're just using it in-camera or as an off-camera optical ETTL slave, you have the option of investing in its predecessor, the 430EXII, which is cheaper and does the job. Even though, Although I gave this unit 5 stars, it still has small imperfections - possibly a manufacturing defect in the left corner of the LCD screen (see image). Both devices I received had them. I hope this doesn't become a performance issue later on, say a year after the warranty expires. I didn't deduct a single star for this lovely product due to a defect, but Canon - this should be fixed!
