This smaller Food Saver model fits nicely in a cupboard already stocked with kitchen appliances. However, unlike other devices, I've used this more in a month than others have in a year! Food Saver is so easy to use I'm mad at myself for not getting it sooner. The original price has kept me from buying it for years, but I've spent enough money throwing away burnt food, moldy bread, and overcooked veggies to make it worth buying. Because the specially designed bags/rolls allow all the air around the product to be extracted, there is no space left in the package for ice crystals to form, causing the inevitable freezer burn. Not only does vacuum packaging save time, but it turns the meat into a virtual sponge for all those flavors. Toss this pouch in the pot and then on the grill for the moistest, most delicious chicken breasts you'll ever eat in your life! You can stop the suction at any time during the process, so you can store your rolls and bread without crushing them and they'll come right back in. I can upgrade to a larger (wider) model as the amount of product I seal increases, but for now this is PERFECT. I can honestly say I am thrilled with this product, its effectiveness and value.
