Pretty good heater at a very good price. The box it was in looked like it had fallen off a cliff. But the heater itself looked new and undamaged. I didn't like it at first and thought I'd send it back. The pace was GONE for the first few hours. Showed 85 on heater when actually it was only 76. I think the outer case catches the heated water and initially gives inaccurate readings as other reviews have said. But slowly it started to calm down. It just turned on and ran for a minute or less, quickly reading 85. And if you're having trouble with wildly variable temperatures like the other reviews, try giving it time to even out and it works great. And that's the best price for the 9n Amazon 300w heater! Update: After a month of use I have to say I really like this heater. I like the temperature display and the ease of adjustment. I removed the outer case, it can be easily disassembled. The case just heats up too quickly and shuts off the heater. After removing it, the heater began to work much better, and the readings became more accurate.
