I ride my bike every day. I live in Chicago and commute to work every day. This bike carrier bag from Ibera has changed my riding style! First let's talk about why you need a pannier bag and not a backpack, frame bag or handlebar bag. Backpacks are good in theory, but terrible in practice. They make your back sweat by transferring all the pressure of the bag's weight to your back. When carrying a heavy weight, the backpack will be folded for the lower back. A frame bag is great for weight distribution and cargo capacity, but it's difficult to get off the bike. If you're constantly on the move locking and unlocking your bike, the last thing you need to do is remove the unwieldy frame bag. After all, handlebar bags don't look convincing. The Ibera Trunk relieves your back while driving and prevents sweat and backpack pain. But the included shoulder strap allows you to use the trunk bag like a backpack. The shoulder strap is thick, pleasantly padded and effectively distributes the weight of the bag over the shoulder strap over the torso. The Ibera Trunk is also designed for use with the Ibera PakRak rear bike rack. This allows the pannier bag to be quickly and easily attached to and removed from the PakRak. No annoying straps or loose buckles, just a safe and easy system. The zippered baskets also have a ratchet strap that attaches to the PakRak to secure them to the frame. Aesthetically, this bag is trendy. The color scheme works well with my all-black solution. The orange and reflective material around the bag makes you and your bike stand out. Functionally, the bag is massive! I mean, the interior alone is big enough to fit absolutely everything I need. Here's what I currently have in my bag (without panniers in place): First Aid Kit / Mini Bike Pump / Flashlight / Pocket Knife / Tire Levers / Extra Inner Tube / Large U-Lock / Bike Multi-Tool / Multi-Tool / 4 Bike Lights / Bottle of 16 oz Water / Selfie Stick / GoPro / Wallet / Keys / Cell Phone I'm literally ready for anything. I always have room in the middle pocket for even more stuff without even having to open the baskets! Disadvantages: Trunk bags have one major disadvantage - they are located on the rear wheel. Which upsets the bike's center of gravity and balance. When rearranging my trunk, I had to be very careful to maintain serious control of the bike frame. That is a big problem? No, but it could be more dangerous than a backpack, for example. Also, the baskets attached to the bag are nice, but not that big. I have another basket if I ever need a serious space to carry groceries or other items that need more space, but the Ibera trunk baskets are a bit small. On hot days when I don't want to ride in my work clothes I can put most of my work clothes in the baskets but they are very tight. One side of the case holds 1 pair of pants and the other side holds 1 shirt and belt. The central compartment in the trunk makes up for this by allowing me to even put a pair of shoes on top of any of the items listed earlier in this review. This trunk bag has imperfections but they are minor and not a defect of this particular bag. the product itself, but to a greater extent it is the fault of the tribes in general. I still give this trunk bag a solid 5 stars for the quality and performance it delivers.
