I bought this product to seal my doors since we were suffering from drafts all winter and excess bugs coming into the home during the summer. We placed the weatherstrip around the door frame and on the base of the door and it did a great job sealing the door to the point that we have not seen any bugs come in except for ants. I did clean the door frame with Windex to make sure there was no debris that would impede the weather strip of sticking to the door frame. Next, I measured the amount of weatherstrip I needed for the area I was working on and cut it. Then, I removed a small part of the paper backing to begin sticking the weatherstrip to the door. This allowed me to control where I was placing the weatherstrip and keep it straight. I slowly removed the backing as I went along down the door frame. Finally, I made sure to go back and press on the weatherstrip to make sure that it sealed correctly. On the instructions, it tells you to give it time to seal. I gave it a few hours and then I opened and closed the door as usual. I think the product is great. Just beware the thickness of the product is pretty thin. If you have a big gap between the door frame and the door you might want to consider sizing up a little. I think if you measure the gap you want to fill then it will be easier to determine the thickness of the foam. Also, note that the product covers three sides of the door but again it will depend on how the size of the door. With the double roll, I was able to weatherstrip an average size front door and back door. Hope this review helps.
