I took the risk of ordering this lamp when there were no reviews. A very similar LANCOSC lamp had very good reviews so I figured why not? It could be the latest model. :) To sum it up: I really like it! The magnifying glass has a large area without distortion. I had no problem concentrating on my subjects. The light is bright enough to see the magnified area without any glare, but I have full brightness. I always use it with mixed cool/warm white light. The only thing I would have liked was a dust cover, but a little cloth does the job just fine now! I wanted a lamp that folds up far enough that it's out of the way when I'm not using it. It fits the bill! I can stretch it about 30 inches horizontally and it folds nicely over the corner of my desk. I attached it to an IKEA Linmon countertop. The clamp is really secure. Since no stand takes up space on the table, it takes up very little space! I was a little disappointed that I couldn't rotate the lamp by the base, but I can move it a little by loosening the screw on the base. . I've been using this lamp for a few days now and I don't miss this step! I managed to pinch it in a spot where I can pull it straight out and then adjust the angle with the lamp head. At first I thought the light might not be bright enough, but I used it during the day. However, it definitely illuminates the subject you're looking at through the magnifying glass. And in the evening it was the perfect amount of light for close-ups. I think it will be better that way - it won't spread a very bright light over a large area, so I won't blind anyone in the room.
