Received this as a Father's Day gift and was very excited. I had never heard of whiskey stones but the idea sounded good. The box, coasters, glasses, everything about the presentation was beautiful. In the morning I received a gift, read the instructions, washed the stones and put them in the freezer to drink after dinner. Seriously, the stones did nothing, not even raising the temperature above room temperature. I figured they might be like wet grindstones and absorb water, so I tried soaking the stones before freezing. Same result. I felt sorry for my wife because it was really well thought out and they were happy to give it to me. It felt like we paid for a nice box and two glasses.
