It worked as intended. I was very happy with how it worked out for us. I kept thinking of other applications we could apply to it. I'm deducting a star because of the somewhat weak feel of the device holder itself. The plastic on mine looks and falls like it could be a little more brittle. The springs in my tensioner are a bit noisy and "crunch" a little when a device is added or removed. Having said that, I haven't had any issues with it and mine keeps our phones and tablets secure. A few more notes: The articulated arm is held in place solely by friction and gravity. Although my seat is good and firm, resist the temptation to pick her up and move her hand as she can come out, I discovered in a moment of frivolity. The base and main support posts feel solid and provide a relatively stable platform. It's stable as long as you align your hand properly with the base. However, due to the rectangular shape of the base, there is a potential risk of tipping over when moving the arm into certain positions.
