Needed a 20x22x1 filter for my AC, I have a 19.5x21.5x.75. This filter was half an inch shorter in length and width, which allowed it to fit loosely in the filter frame, creating a situation where the filter became deformed, making it difficult to remove and risking being sucked into the condenser. Why do I have to invent some kind of gasket to keep the filter tight?! Why can't the supplier just deliver what I asked for even though I don't know what I need?! Of course if I need to use something to route the filter so it fits properly then my original measurements are correct and the supplier is just plain wrong and fraudulent and if they can't supply what I want to my specifications then they simply should grab it. No problem, they are returned at someone else's expense and I buy what I need from a retailer who doesn't like to think they know better than me.
