I purchased these tubes in a pack 4 3/4" diameter by 30" long to make clamps for my woodworking projects. Both ends are threaded. At some point along the way the pipes fell I think and one end of the pipe thread broke a bit. The threads were now protected with plastic caps on the ends of the threads. Perhaps an extra layer of protection will be applied to the thread ends in the future. Something else. There were sharp-edged pieces of metal in the tubes from the threading process. This must be thoroughly cleaned before shipping. Other than that, they're good to go.
