I have been working for many years and when I was looking for socks, these popped up. Tired of the back of the heel chafing while running I went for these and I'm glad I did. Who cares what that little tongue on the heel is doing! I run cross country so my shoes would always get dirt and leaves and stuff while running and then most of my socks would fall off when I was running and the back of my heel would be rubbing against my shoe and all the dirt and leaves. I don't know how I kept it up for so long. But I know these socks are working great now and I'm completely rid of my old sock problems. This heel tab even seems to protect my shoes from dirt and grime while running. I also walk the streets almost every day and they just don't slide and rub like everything else. These socks are on the thinner side of thickness I would say. from normal to thinner sock thickness. Hope that helps!
