It seems that this is a normal spare part, it holds the phone firmly and does not stagger. Sharp edges that can scratch the dashboard are the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. A few things to know: 1. The phone grip is wide enough to hold a Nexus 6 phone in a pocket, but no more . Anything other than that probably won't work. 2. Don't even start installation if you don't have a 7mm socket/wrench. A ratchet will do. The screw under the dashboard has a screw head. I unscrewed it with my trusty GatorGrip, but it was impossible to screw it back in after installing the mount (the GatorGrip was too thick).3. Do yourself a favor and sand/file the contact pads under the phone stand. They have sharp edges and can scratch the dashboard during installation or use. Just flatten the sharp parts and you'll be fine.4. Installation: Do not try to snap it into the air vent immediately. Slide it on, insert the screw and tighten until it's nice and snug, then gently but firmly push on the two "legs" that engage the vent and it should snap into place.
