Review on Biker's Choice Secure Helmet Lock - Model 74937S2 by Tim Blandin

Highly recommend looking elsewhere

This product is very cheap as you can see from the photo, there are a few issues I would like to point out. 1) No rubber or any type of bushing needs to be placed between the grips and/or the bracket, which means that the handlebars can be very easily scratched if a slip occurs. 2) As you can see from the pictures, the locking mechanism (key) rotates only 16 inches between locking and unlocking. This isn't much of a test, as this lock works more as a deterrent than a preventative. When it arrives everything looks fine but after unlocking the locking ring just fell out of the lock assembly, it could have been much better with just a few modifications but the way it was sent to me is totally unusable. In the manufacturer's defense I did not attempt to contact them to get a replacement as it took me longer to try and return than just writing down the loss. However, the good thing is that my local biker group has over 300 members and can spread the word about this purchase.
