The controls are about halfway adjusted as of this writing. And that's because I keep having to go back because of backward Taiwanese policies. I've gotten to the point where I have to grind off about an inch of brake material when it hits my exhaust. If I'm doing something obviously wrong, please comment. But I made sure I had the correct bracket on each side and my brake lever is still banging against my front muffler. Also, this is my second set as the first was missing a shifter. This is an unfortunate case of "you get what you pay for". So if you want my advice, buy another brand of controls. And if you have a 2008 1200R, they probably won't fit. - Update 6/2/2014: After driving a few hundred miles I found an issue with these front controls. The bracket on the brake side is misaligned, causing the entire right side assembly to tip down. That's why my brake pedal made contact with the exhaust pipe. The problem now is that my right leg sits lower than my right, which is uncomfortable after only 15 minutes of riding. Unfortunately, this isn't very noticeable until you're driving and realize that one leg is stretched farther than the other. Please please please avoid these controls, serious quality issues occur here that can become a safety issue. It's not worth saving a hundred bucks or so to go through all the frustrations like me.
