1 year test report: After just over a year this printer is no longer usable. I have been struggling to get good prints from this machine for quite some time and have found that the bed/nozzle on this machine is not level enough to set the auto level appropriately. After another attempt to contact Frankensbox by phone, which I never succeeded. Over a year later I received an incomplete, vague description of how to try to level the car. My questions about the process were never answered. My printer now won't transfer files between computers and won't print a file that's on its SD card due to communication errors, so essentially it's not printing anything else. and now it communicates with the computer for only one function, it can do the useless procedure of leveling the bed. I have tried to contact Frankensbox but to no avail either by phone or by repeated emails to the technical support department. I'm not sure, but it looks like they're not really in business anymore, although they still sell their cars here at Revain. My recommendation: DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! There is now no other 3D printer on the market that completely blows this machine out of the water for the price. For example, I am very happy with my Ender 3 V2, which is being sold here for less than $250. I AM VERY DELIGHTED WITH THIS SPECIAL PURCHASE, EVEN THOUGH I WANTED TO LIKE THE PRINTER IT JUST CANNOT WORK.ββββββ βββββββ- THE FIRST RATING SHOULD BE: A very quiet printer that can can be used in any room without disturbing noise. My laser printer is louder and my inkjet printer has about the same noise level as the Frankensbox. It comes with plenty of PLA filament for printing and experimenting. So far I've printed a case for my Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi Zero as well as a few smaller items and I still have some filament to play with. This is a printer for 3D printing beginners like me. Although the included software (Moira 3.0.8) was designed for use with this printer and works properly, it has almost no built-in help. It also includes Cura, which has more detail and help files and can accept more slicing file formats than Moira. This is my second Frankensbox because my first one failed on the first day. Something hung while updating the firmware, they couldn't fix something. During my tech support experience they tried to help me via email but I was never able to reach them by phone after many attempts and my request to call me or give me a direct line was never answered. easy exchange and return experience, my 2nd Frankensbox worked as expected. I've had a couple of bad impressions but I'm getting better, which is to be expected. The included software is only for Windows computers, although the printer's own manual states that it also supports macOS. This was a disappointment for me as my primary computer is an iMac so I had to use it from my third computer which is my only Windows computer. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy it again. I'm looking forward to finding the right slicer that works with MacOS and learning how to operate this printer with finer details and get great prints.
