A terrible product, not worth your money absolutely!
Maybe just unlucky, but something is very often unlucky with seagate models of the lower price range. Decently heated, during the year a significant part dies irrevocably. Has pros: Capacity and price, if they matter against the backdrop of an archival drawback. Its cons: Worked in a video recorder. Suffered from overheating, died suddenly after a year of use.
