Bought this drive from a LaCie rep (got 3 more of these drives with Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0. Never had a problem until I bought this one. It just won't work with standard disk utilities of the operating system, but it actually prompts you to use their "Seagate, obviously not LaCie" utility. Terrible experience. Never buy this drive. When using LaCie on Mac, Linux and Windows with OLD LaCie - never had a problem. Seagate screwed it up"The best line of products from the company. But what's new? This one won't be recognized as a 5TB size by anyone - not Mac, not Linux, not Windows. What is it for a new hell? Seagate? Dear Seagate? This apple, this pear, this orange or just a flop Why? Not only does Google own you, you just have to share your valuable data storage give up Seagate. Wonder!, I advise DO NOT BUY for a self respecting person in the field or just an advanced consumer SEAGATE VISIBILITY CAN BUY 6 GOOD REVIEWS BUT CAN YOU EVER TRUST IT?
