The Stability version of the shoe offers more toe room than leather hiking shoes. I have 12AA on a Brannock device and bought the 13AA: it's large enough in width when wearing medium socks and my front foot is fully flexed. Unfortunately, the rest of the shoe is oversized from forefoot to heel, making it feel a bit sloppy. If the shoe had an extra lace hole that went right in front of my outer forefoot bone and a notch in the outer heel to accommodate a long kick, it would make a great city walking shoe or even a jogging shoe.
