Looking for educational toys stuck at home. I didn't know if my kids would be interested. But it was a lot of fun. He was smaller than I thought. This is about a 3 inch piece of clay. But my boys loved it. They kept digging even after we found 3 rocks. They enjoyed hearing the information in the book that came with it. an activity that a 5-year-old can work on independently. I would strongly recommend purchasing a larger set.
