Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ Rugged UAG Case for Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus/7/6/5/4 - Military Grade Protection, Aluminum Stand, Black by David Perry

Very practical The best of tablet accessories

I needed a hard case because I had a crack in the corner of the screen after a flight on an airplane. One crack means the entire screen is susceptible to more cracks. I chose protection to extend the life of my Surface. I got this UAG Surface Pro case after trying the Otterbox brand case. I'm a fan of Otterbox but the UAG product is way better. It protects from all sides, it fits perfectly. However, some areas can still move a bit (around the ports). There are vents everywhere, but when the handle is present, some of them are hidden by the handle. The kickstand is a bit annoying, but it's better than the other options out there. The stand is noisy and the tolerances around the hinges aren't very tight. But it's still cast metal (most likely cast aluminum) and will hold up and stand well. If you often carry your Surface on your forearm, this case has a comfortable bottom edge. (The Otterbox had a sharp edge that bit my hand) The stand is also T-shaped so you can hold it better when it's extended. The buttons still work great (UAG got it right, Otterbox completely screwed it up), the grippy texture is definitely appreciated. Yes, it's a little heavier and sillier than the bare Surface, but it's actually very handy. The charging port shape supports both up and down cable orientation.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
