Review on Premium Aluminum Mini-ITX HTPC Desktop Computer ๐Ÿ’ป Chassis with Sliver Tempered Glass - Goodisory A01 by Roy Niemeyer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The glass version is good for CPU/APU with low power consumption. Not compatible with HDPlex Pico PSE unless you upgrade.

Very strong and small case. Looks good as a HTPC living room. I ordered the glass version and it works fine with an APU 2400GE Pro (35W) (max temp around 70ยฐC) with a Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 cooler. However, there are problems with the airflow due to the size and the glass surface. Don't install a 2.5" SATA drive above the motherboard unless you're using an ultra-low power processor (e.g. an integrated ITX motherboard), there just isn't enough room, even for a Noctua cooler. An APU that without modification is higher than the 35W TDP variant (at least for the glass version. If you want to use something like a 65W APU like the 5300G/5600G with the glass version, buy some black motherboards -Stand to raise the glass In addition, the DC plug holes for the PICO power supply for DC plugs are max 5.5 x 2.5mm had to widen the hole with a drill to put the plug in. It was a bit tedious to get it in the case because of the heatsink on it, so just a note for those who want to use the PICO power supply If you want to build a small Ryzen ITX APU, assemble the best motherboard with the least amount of effort .Due to the built in DC input it will be ASRock a320TM-ITX or X300TM-ITX (no need PICO power supply) not in the same place as other ITX motherboards.I gave 4 stars out of 5 because I use the case for had to modify the power supply.

Pros
  • External components
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
