I got this to upgrade an old cheap rear view camera monitor I had before and this one is definitely better. The advantages are that this screen is much larger but thinner and can also be attached to the windshield with glue or with a suction cup. It's pretty easy if you've installed a backup camera in the past and all you need is a power source and connection to the backup camera. For my power supply I just use this adapter that plugs into a car socket so it's a lot more convenient than today splicing cables etc. The only problem I had was that I had trouble with the suction cup initially. because it didn't stick well I decided to use glue instead and everything went fine but after a few minutes the glue fell off! Of course, once it falls, it keeps falling. One problem was that it wasn't exactly a flat surface that I was trying to glue it to, and I realized that it stuck much better when I tried to glue it to a flatter surface, so maybe that was partial my fault. Anyway, I went back to the suction cup and figured out how to get it to stick. Basically you need some moisture to suck it onto the windshield but I forgot to do that and it wasn't in the instructions that came with it so it took me a little longer to install but now it's in my car and works fine so no complaints! Just take my advice and make sure you use a suction cup mount to put some moisture on it and if you use glue make sure it's completely flat. Overall I'm happy with my purchase, but it took me a little longer to figure it out than I expected. If you think my review was helpful, please click below!
