The rear view camera works as advertised. I was surprised by the picture quality and the five (5) inch screen. Initially I thought the screen size would be 3-4 inches, but I was pleasantly surprised by the 5-inch screen in the box. Besides, the installation steps were easy. The main reason for this purchase is that I could see blind spots when reversing my car. Also, I had trouble backing up at night. This device solved both problems. This rear camera is the guardian.

I really liked this monitor. The image quality is high and connection to video sources is easy. I connected it to a conventional reversing camera, which provides power along with the video (see image). I did without the practical attachment devices, which seemed to be very versatile. A small downside is that the monitor does interfere a bit with my FM radio, but only when the video is on. Since my car only reverses briefly, this noise doesn't bother me.

I bought this unit to add a backup camera to my Tundra and it also has an additional front camera. The pictures show the first screen I installed professionally. Instead of a suction cup, they stick a light sheet of double-sided plastic stick on it. As a side note, while these little monitors are great for whatever you need initially, they only last a year or two. Then they die from low-quality internal parts. There was one I used for about 2 years and then it just died so luckily I had a fuse that had NOT been used in over a year except once and sat quietly on a shelf. Also connected to this backup copy does not work. (too ironic if you ask me) So if you open the circuit and test, they both still get power, but the internal circuit just…

I got this to upgrade an old cheap rear view camera monitor I had before and this one is definitely better. The advantages are that this screen is much larger but thinner and can also be attached to the windshield with glue or with a suction cup. It's pretty easy if you've installed a backup camera in the past and all you need is a power source and connection to the backup camera.
