We have a TV on a stand on a dresser in the bedroom. I had to lift it up a bit and didn't want to wall mount the unit. Corners in the corner of the room would make it difficult to install and set up properly. Everything else I found was square. It fits perfectly in the corner of the dresser and gave us about 4-5 inches more height so it's much better to see now. I think I read some reviews that it is not durable. I tightened and twisted the legs until I thought they were hitting the ground but I was able to twist them a bit more and thought I was going to break them but all 3 legs moved a bit further and now they fit fine . I have a medium sized LCD and it handles the weight well. A word of caution. The bottom of the plastic legs is very slippery on hard surfaces. I used a small piece of double sided tape to keep it from moving around too much. The rest turned out very well.
