Smells like plastic in travel and to-go drinks

These are supposed to be silicone lids but they are very stiff, not soft and flexible like my other silicone lids and have a strong plastic smell even after washing. Since the cap is pressed right onto my nose when I take a sip, I can't stand the smell. They're going to go in the trash and I'll try a different brand. You come to my cup.
