This is a decent freeze dried food, except for the price you have to feed a lot. This was one of the many I tried for my dog who was either hydrated, freeze dried or air dried. I tried essential vitamins and a few more but found that most dehydrated or freeze dried foods were hard rocks with lots of crumbs. Very dry. Disintegrates into dust. I reduced it to Ziwipeak Air dry dog food. It's tender like jerky and very small pieces which is good for my Pomeranian. They love it too. It also contains vitamins and minerals and shellfish. Less or about the same cost to feed that extra Vita-Essential or food. I feel like the ingredients are a better choice than any I've encountered. I would find it uneconomical to feed a large dog this type of food.
