I like the thing better that way. It took me several different tries to figure out what technique to use to get it working. I take the scrub and apply it with my finger and then just massage my upper and lower lips. It's okay if you can get it on the outside of your lips. Then I take an unscented baby wipe and wipe it off. Then there's a really good moisturizer on the other side of the scrub, so I apply that. I always do this in the morning before applying makeup/shower and then at night before bed. I just let it sink into my lips while I nap. What I really love about this product is that it's a scrub AND a moisturizer in one convenient container! Absolutely worth the money and would definitely recommend it to people, in fact I've already done so!
