Review on Enhanced Precision with Proxxon 24255 64 Inch Machine Steel by Vincent Pavelko

This vise is perfect. I have a 6040 CNC machine and the precision vise I used was 70mm high, leaving the Z-axis as small as possible. 100mm. Proxxon is only about 38mm tall. and the included hardware fits into the 6040's T-slots. It's not a vise, but it doesn't "kick" and is the shortest I've been able to find with this jaw opening.
