I'm building an arcade game that uses a Raspberry PI, an Arduino and a bunch of devices that need quite a few Dupont 2.54mm and JST-XH connectors . It was the perfect set for my project! The PR-3245 crimping tool is well built and appears to be very durable. It's very easy to use, so connecting multiple plugs in a row wasn't a problem. I've never used it before and I only needed 2 or 3 connections to find the best way to use it. Using the tool: I like that it has a ratchet as it makes it easier to hold the connector in place if you position the wire before crimping. The steps I follow are: 1) Prepare the wire. Strip the insulation to expose only the portion of the wire that is crimped with the labels. 2) Choose the correct terminals for the connector and wire size. I don't bend them with pliers because I want the tags to press against the jaw to hold it in place. Make sure the two sets of markers line up correctly on the two clips of different depths. connector, and there is insulation in the insulation crimping part. 6) Squeeze the tool fully to crimp the connector. The supplied connectors look like Class A and not fake so I'm very happy with both.
