Review on πŸ”‹ High Performance 2S LiPo Battery 6200mAh 7.4V (50C) for RC Car Truck Boat Vehicles - Pack of 2 with Dean-Style T Connector by Christopher Kanter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good Lipo Batteries - All the Cells are Even - I use both packs as One 4S Battery Pack

Update - I like these better than ZEEE and others.I got these dual Ovonic 2S 7.4v 6200mah 50C Lipos -I use them Together as a 4S Battery Pack, in series 16.8v fully charged. My Test -Lipo Charger Used: ToolKitRC M6D Dual Smart Charger -Lipo Charger Calibrated Using: DMM Aneng AN8008 9999 Counts Accurate1. I connected both Lipos as one 4S Lipo Battery Pack, in series - after I soldered EC5 Connectors.2. I Disharged both 2S Lipo packs Down to 3.2v/ (per cell)3. I Charged the dual 2S Packs as one 4S Lipo Pack, at 4.20v/ (per cell) @6.2A Charge RateMy Results:I got: Capacity 6.69Ah = 6690mah Capacity - (see photos)I got: Low Resistance Levels of 3 mOhms/ (per cell), (at the end of the charge) nominal 4-5 mOhms/ (per cell).I got better than the expected 6200mah capacity rating.Like a fuel tank measures gallons, if a gas tank reads 10 gallon tank, you should be able to fill it with 10 gallons, so if a Lipo battery pack reads 6200mah, then you should be able to fill it up-to that level, (+ -) just below or higher - Depends on the battery pack(s) battery condition, you got good ones, and your charger quality and you discharge the Lipo down to 3.2v/ (per cell), then charge it all the way up to 4.2v/ (per cell), then read your charger, how much capacity did it take-in ?.So I got above the Rated Capacity 6200mah,So you take 6690 minus 6200 = 490mah above the rated capacity 6200mah.I provided photos of - The Lipo Discharged and After Charge:With all this Tech Stuff -The real question is - Are these Lipos the sh-it.? - Do they work good.? YesI have used other name brands such as PowerHobby, and ZEEEs,But these Ovonics are the best deal for the money so far I seen on the market dated April 2021.These Lipos are rated at 50C, but I think they might be higher because I get some serious power burst, like a turbo boost on demand wheelies all the way down the street on my Arrma Big Rock V3 w/ 4S Mod on stock motor.I get the best run times, and good strong power on these Ovonics better than all my other lipos.About my Charging Area -For Safety I use Cement Blocks in my Garage, or Lipo Safe Bags. These are Good Batteries -They're hard to drain, and all the cells discharge and charge evenly, as one 4S battery pack. The power is incredible, wheelies on demand all the way down the street, and these are only 50C Lipos. I set my ESC on level 4, on this ESC the adjustment range is 1-5, if I set it on 3 its ok, and level 5 is just way too much power, pops wheelies too quick, so I use level 4. I mainly use these Lipos in my Arrma Big Rock V3 3S BLX Mod using a 2-4S ESC 120A HobbyWing EZRun Max 10 SCT, yes on the stock motor.I charge these batteries a special way, as one 4S battery pack, I would not recommend doing this unless you know what your doing, as far as electronics wiring two 2S JST plugs in series into a one 4S JST wire plug connector, so your charger sees the battery as one 4S battery pack.About the Batteries -The top end power last long time, I use a trigger mod on my radio so it only goes up-to like 80-90% at full throttle on my finger trigger, maybe reaches like 13v-15volts, because the full power can balloon the tires way too much, its just way too much power, but I enjoy pushing it to the limit. Why I set it up this way is because, I like the power of a fully charged 3S Lipo, but the full power of the 3S only last for a few moments, vs when I run a 4S I get the top end power all the way thru the run, until the ESC shuts down the RC car.If you add upLow cells --- 3.4v x 4S = 13.60vStorage Charged --- 3.85v x 4S = 15.40vFully Charged --- 4.20v x4S =16.80vEither way I'm running over 12.6v even as the Lipos reach the low state and the ESC starts to shuts down the car.I like the fact that I can just pop in a 4S Lipo and run my RC even when the 4S Lipo is at the Storage Charge Rate 3.85v/ = 15.4v at 55%. Which is how I store my Lipos at 3.850v/ (per cell) Storage Charge Rate. These Ovonic 6200mah 50C Lipos are pretty good batteries, I really like them, I think these are my best lipos so far now days dated April 2021. Like I said, all the cells discharge evenly and charge evenly, as one 4S battery pack. From discharging to storage charge to fully charged, the cells are even. I probably will buy some more, if they keep the quality up and cost down. Thanks Revain for good products.
